Unlike other forms of oral supplements, vitamin injections go straight to work. Oral supplements must be digested and absorbed by the body, and to survive the process, they often contain unnecessary ingredients. Not only are these ingredients absent in nutritional value, many could be potentially harmful.
Your body uses vitamin B-12 to make red blood cells, nerves, DNA and protein. B12 also helps your body metabolise fat and carbohydrates for energy. Although your body is unable to generate B12, the vitamin is readily available from dietary sources including dairy, meat and fish. If you develop a vitamin B12 deficiency, intramuscular or subcutaneous injections may be necessary.
Please note: B12 injections are not medically proven to help with weight loss.
