Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture Training Course

The Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture Training Course teaches all aspects of aesthetic acupuncture theory and techniques, delivered over a 3 day learning period

Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture 1:

· Examine the anatomy, physiology, and morphology of the face, head and neck both structurally and functionally (8 contributing systems)
· Comprehensive myology (study of the muscles) of the facial muscles. Including extensive knowledge on muscles of expression, and how facial cosmetic acupuncture (FCA) compliments symmetry and muscle tone
· In-depth understanding of the inner workings of the skin, and acupunctures ability to stimulate health, appearance, and support the skin’s inner matrix (fibroblasts, collagen, hyaluronic acid etc)
· FCA mechanism of action discussed, and wound healing detailed
· Learn structural and functional changes in the skin and tissues with age, and how to address them step by step
· Learn dermatological skin classifications, as well as, TCM treatments according to combination skin conditions

Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture 2:

· Explore the background and history of cosmetics in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)
· Learn how to integrate both western medical concepts of ageing and how they connect and differ with the TCM approach
· Review the fundamental TCM principles and vital substances in relation to the skin
· Learn the TCM perspectives on ageing, common skin disorders and their associated syndrome-patterns
· Establish Organ-Skin interrelationships and learn how to address common cosmetic concerns and skin disorders
· Discuss how emotional patterns (moods) predict future appearance changes
· Determine pathologies using inspection
· Understand how internal and external pathogenic factors impact the skin health and appearance
· Detailed comprehension of diagnosing and addressing common conditions according to TCM
· Learn skin classification scales
· Relevant acupuncture research & clinical observations

Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture 3:

· Combines the understanding of TCM principles, in-depth A&P of the head and neck, and provides the complete picture of specialising in FCA
· A working knowledge of safety precautions, contraindications, and side-effect management to maintain a safe practice environment. Minimising potential risk and maximising client satisfaction
· Provides detailed application methods, to be able to perform FCA with confidence, and communicate effectively with clients
· Details the therapeutic relationship, and provides guidelines to enhance the initial consultation
· Learn aesthetic assessment methods, and how to tailor a treatment plan specifically for FCA
· Receive a list of equipment to work safely and proficiently
· Gain deep insight into common dermatological conditions and how they relate to TCM

You will Learn
